In October 2009, Spire established a wholly owned subsidiary, Spire Taiwan LLC, that houses its office in Hsinchu County, Taiwan. Since Taiwan is a major player in solar manufacturing, having recently established the Taiwan PV Standards Committee, and has initiated government incentives to stimulate the industry. Having an office in the Far East region provides rapid customer communications and enhances Spire’s growing position within the region. It has a headquarters for equipment service operations and support customers throughout China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as others in the region. The branch is staffed with multilingual sales and service engineers, allowing our customers to receive immediate care. Spire will also be establishing a regional spare parts inventory warehouse in Taiwan. And of course, Taiwan itself is a major player in solar manufacturing, having recently established the Taiwan PV Standards Committee and has initiated government incentives to stimulate the industry.
