The Inspection Station includes a ball table with pop-up pads to secure the module. A power supply with clip leads is used to measure a dark I-V characteristic after cell string busing. This test assures good soldering and appropriate polarity placement of strings. Inspection lamps provide bright backlighting to assist with visual inspections for defects, such as cell chips, cracks or debris in the module. These inspections, prior to lamination, minimize possible lamination of defective incorrectly assembled products.
