This informational update is intended for new and current Solar Module Manufacturers looking to take advantage of the recently announced IRS Tax Credit 48C

The deadline for submitting applications with initial information for this valuable tax credit is September 16. This will be followed quickly by the final submission.

The DOE/IRS will evaluate applications with a primary criterion of Job Creation. Critical Timeline
  • Preliminary Application (due September 16, 2009)
  • Final Application (due October 16, 2009)
  • DOE Review and Recommendation (October 16 – December 16, 2009)
  • Submission to IRS for Tax Credit Status (due December 16, 2009)
  • IRS Acceptance or Rejection Letter (due to applicant by January 15, 2010)
